Dear Bobbi Brown,

I'grand non a crazy fan or anything, simply I've ofttimes wondered if we share a psychic connection. You come across, I used to accept a picture show of Bobby Brown on my algebra binder — I KNOW! What a coincidence, right? Oh, and only final week I spent 15 minutes rifling through my eyeshadow drove, looking for the perfect combo of gray and navy shadows to vesture with my new night rinse J Make jeans, and now yous become and release a jeans-inspired palette for fall called Denim & Rose ($threescore)? Are you reading my makeup mind??

Right after trying on the new Denim & Rose palette, I peeled off my stretchy yoga pants (which were starting to meld into my thighs) and squeezed into my favorite skinny jeans because it just felt right. 🙂

It'southward stone n' whorl meets roses today with this palette for sooty, smokey eyes (for your inner bad gal) and soft lips and cheeks (for your angelic side). I LOVE the mix of edgy — well, edgy for Bobbi — night navy, gray and neutral shades for the eyes, and the ultra femme pinks for lips and cheeks.

The nine-slice palette rides onto counters adjacent month as part of the Denim & Rose makeup collection for autumn 2010, and most of its colors are new. The sole exception, Navajo eyeshadow, also stars in Bobbi's permanent drove.

I really appreciate when makeup lines create palettes from scratch with fresh colors, rather than recycling stuff that's already part of their permanent line. I don't mind occasional re-promotes, but large ups to BB and her crew for keeping the states on our toes.

So tell me about the packaging. Doesn't the dark denim instance with its zipper closure look totally unlike Bobbi'south typical black lacquer? It'southward sassy and almost MAC-similar, yah? I kinda wish they'd separated the lip products from the eyeshadows (argh!), though, to aid keep dust from getting where it doesn't vest.

If you decide to get frisky with this palette, please check out Night Rinse shadow, the inky blackish blue with flecks of glitter, and if yous happen to have last fall's Declaring Indigo Gel Liner from Lancome, I have a feeling Night Rinse would expect amazing layered on superlative!

For these shots I used all four Denim & Rose palette eyeshadows, Pink Rose blush on the cheeks and Indie Rose Flossy Lip Color/Hot Rose Lip Gloss on the lips. The matte eyeshadows, Navajo and Gray Denim, were a fleck of a challenge to blend, only I think a unlike base might help (I used Urban Decay Eden). Next time I might try using Shore from Bobbi'southward Beach Society collection.

I think if Denim & Rose were an outfit, she'd be a form plumbing fixtures pair of dark rinse skinny jeans worn with a crisp white shirt and stilettos.

Holy crap, ladies! In that location was some drama next door a picayune while agone. Apparently, my neighbor'due south house caught on burn! I was sitting at my computer just typing away when I heard sirens budgeted, so I looked and saw fume streaming out from my neighbor'south kitchen window, no more than than xxx anxiety away!

Adjacent thing I knew, there were firemen on the roof, h2o and chainsaws roaring… I was FREAKED OUT! As far as I can tell and from what the firemen have said, in that location was no one inside the unit at the fourth dimension, then that's the well-nigh important thing. Trust me, though, I was ready to grab Tabs, a pair of running shoes and wing out the door!
